Gonzaga Coutinho, born in Mozambique, pianist, singer, author and composer of
numerous musical works, got all his musical inspiration in the 60s.
Gifted with a talent and extensive musical experience obtained throughout his
career, he has gained many sympathies throughout the country and abroad,
participated in the Festival RTP da Canção and in several television programs, and
continues to perform in concerts across the country
In 2002 he recorded his first album "ÌNDICO" with the participation of Rão Kyao,
Olavo Bilac, and Dani Silva among others.
"SAUDADES DO TOM", in 2006, was his second album, a portuguese tribute to
brazilian maestro Tom Jobim, which counted with the collaboration of several
musicians and friends including Rui Veloso, Ivan Lins and Sofia Vitória.
In 2010 recorded "SHANGRI- LA GOA" a CD with 10 songs of traditional Goan
music, with special guests as Kyao Rao, Carlos Guilherme and Susana Brito. It’s a
World Music oriented work devoted to promote songs of the old Portuguese overseas provinces Goa, Daman and Diu.
"SHANGRI-LA GOA" will be released worldwide in 2011.
